District of Columbia will recognize all Iowa marriages

On the same day that the Vermont legislature voted to override a gubernatorial veto to become the fourth state with legalized same-sex marriage, the Washington, D.C., council voted unanimously to recognize same-sex marriages that have been sanctioned by a state government.
