Jim Leach offered unexpected praise of Barack Obama and several other Democratic presidential candidates in an interview with Iowa Independent this week.

The Revolution At The Tailgates: Ron Paul

State field director predicts second, even first in Iowa

It seems like when we’re young, we like to break a few rules.  Staying out a little too late, sneaking a drink before that official legal age, or backing a candidate who’s outside the established mold (YEEEEEAH!)

Several of those dynamics were on display Saturday at Olive Court, [...]

Rudy Goes Old School and Talks Delegate Count

[Commentary] Way back in the dark ages, before George Bush 41 coined the term “Big Mo” in 1980, “delegate count” was the phrase-that-pays in nomination contests. GOP Debate: Rudy Uses ‘Hillary’ as Password

(Commentary) Even the most emerald of green press secretaries knows this to be true: Tell the candidate to answer the question he wants, not the one she gets.

Rudy Giuliani is taking this basic operating principle of American political debates to another level.

Hizzoner is debating the candidate he wants, not those who are on the stage [...]

Ron Paul’s New Iowa Chair Wins Christian Alliance Award

On the heels of being named Iowa Chairman for Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul’s campaign, Dr. Drew Ivers was awarded the “Friends of the Family Award” by the Iowa Christian Alliance. Ivers received the award at the ICA’s fall banquet Sept. 29, just days after taking over the Paul’s Iowa reins. Ivers was introduced to [...]
