The Obama campaign issued the following statement on two events in Iowa later this week. The Indianola event is open to the public whereas the Des Moines event is by invitation only.
DES MOINES – U.S. Senator Barack Obama’s Iowa campaign today announced that Obama will return to Iowa for events on Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11. During his seventh visit to Iowa since announcing his run for the presidency, Obama will meet with Indianola residents and hold a town hall meeting with Iowa seniors in Des Moines.
At the town hall meeting with Iowa Seniors Friday, Obama will hear directly from Iowa seniors about the health care challenges they face and will highlight his commitment to standing up to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries to protect the interests of American seniors.
