Four Democratic candidates spoke and took questions from MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Lance Armstrong, video questions from the web, and cancer survivors across the country in Cedar Rapids today. The event was billed as making the candidates “Answer to cancer.”
Cancer survivors were in attendance, and the audience in general was enthusiastically supportive of each promise of research and affordable or universal health care made by Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich.Afterwards, Lance Armstrong and several attendees remarked that the candidates were now on record for saying they would lead a fight against cancer.
