Having followed Edwards for the past few days, it’s become clear that Edwards sees running against lobbyists as one of the most important planks of his platform. It has become a central part of his stump speech, and now his main line of attack against Clinton in this debate. Clinton, for her part, says that taking money from the people who employ lobbyists but not the lobbyists themselves puts too fine a point on the whole thing.
Dennis Kucinich raises the Humana question, then fails to complete his point. The health insurance company, highlighted by Michael Moore in his movie Sicko, was backed by the Fortress Investment Group, a hedge fund Edwards worked for after the 2004 election.
