Branstad, Reynolds continue ‘Jobs for Iowa’ tour

Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will continue their “Jobs for Iowa” tour through western Iowa, the administration announced this week.

The two will travel through 12 communities Tuesday through Thursday.

“Lt. Gov. Reynolds and I are pleased to announce this 12-city tour where we will discuss the progress we made in the last legislative session and the plans we have to continue moving Iowa forward toward economic prosperity,” Branstad said in a release on the Governor’s website.

Reynolds added the two-year budget passed by the Legislature last session “shows employers that our state has the stability needed to foster growth. We look forward to talking with Iowans and working with the Legislature to continue our progress for Iowa.”

The schedule, found on the Governor’s website, is as follows:

Tuesday

10 a.m. — Petersen Family Wellness Center, 1213 Chatburn Ave., Harlan;

11:45 a.m. — Norelius Public Library Meeting Room, 1403 1st Ave. South, Denison;

1:45 p.m. — Downtown Cafe, 214 S. Main St., Odebolt;

3:15 p.m. — Ida Grove City Hall – Community Hall, 403 Third St., Ida Grove;

5:15 p.m. — Kingsley Community Center, 207 East First St., Kingsley;

Wednesday
