Presidential frontrunner candidate Mitt Romney has added more Iowa staff, according to his campaign.
Mary Kramer, a former Iowa Senate President and former Barbados and east Caribbean ambassador and former Iowa Rep. and Gov. Terry Branstad‘s former chief of staff Bob Rafferty were appointed to Romney’s Iowa Leadership Team this week, campaign staffers said.
“I am proud to add these Iowans to my statewide Leadership Team,” Romney said in the campaign release. “I look forward to working with them as I continue to campaign across Iowa and the rest of the country, spreading my message that President (Barack) Obama’s policies must be reversed.”
Rafferty has also served as Chief Financial Officer of Iowa, following his tenure as Branstad’s chief of staff.
Romney lent his endorsement to Branstad last fall as Branstad successfully sought his fifth gubernatorial term. One of Branstad’s adult children also worked on Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign.
Branstad continues to encourage presidential GOP candidates to campaign in the Hawkeye state, but has not indicated he will endorse Romney — or any 2012er — in this election cycle.
