Linn County Supervisor Ben Rogers is spending 10 days in Pakistan as part of a U.S. State Department delegation and is inviting constituents to travel along virtually.
Rogers, who began a work-related blog on his website in March, has already begun to provide small glimpses into his trip to meet with members of the Pakistani government.
It’s been a long day of driving to Chicago, 14 hour flight to Abu Dhabi and waiting to get on a three hour flight to Islamabad. … The delegation is an eclectic mix of age, professions and international travel experience.
Rogers and the delegation arrived in Abu Dhabi Friday, so readers can expect updates throughout the next week from Islamabad. Although Rogers has traveled abroad previously, this marks his first experience in the region.
