Steve Hoodjer’s Iowa Freedom Report is reporting that U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, will return to Iowa just before the Nov. 2 election to campaign for legislative candidates around the state.
Paul, who finished fifth in the 2008 Iowa Caucuses, is making his third visit to Iowa in 2010. Hoodjer says Paul is “expected to speak at the University of Iowa and headline fundraisers for various freedom candidates in state legislative races.” WHO-AM is reporting he will be in the Hawkeye State Oct. 28-29, although details of his trip are not yet official.
Paul was last in Iowa back in June, when he addressed a Des Moines crowd the night before the Republican Party of Iowa convention. Before that, he headlined an event for the conservative group Campaign for Liberty in Des Moines in May.
