I consider myself to be a true Independent with no allegiance toward either side of the aisle. Jim Leach in the most eloquent manner I have heard in the last 18 months spoke to why Barack Obama makes such a compelling choice for president I have ever heard. Mr. Leach understands that with Sen. Obama specifically, he speaks to the nation in a broad manner. I personally believe it is because of his physical make-up (because he is an American with dark skin we label him Black) but in actuality he is bi-racial and lives an all inclusive life. He can easily slip into any segment of society and assimilate. How many of can truly do this? I believe he would be a leader that would be unique in so many ways and will bring about a type of unity we have not seen in our nation sadly since 911.

Leach is really a part of a much larger movement toward the Democratic Party. I am a registered Republican, but I am voting for Obama and there are a million reasons why. Most of which is that the Republican party has lost its basis in economic conservativism and now spends just as much as Democrats and than wishes to give everyone tax breaks and surplus checks when we have two wars to pay for and the largest debt in American history. How is this conservative?
