Republican voters in Iowa’s 2nd District are ready to give Mariannette Miller-Meeks another shot at incumbent U.S. Rep. Dave Loebsack, and she’s more than pleased to be going to battle once again.
“I think this is just an accumulation of a lot of months of very hard work, reaching out to voters, trying to educate and inform people, to get on board a team that has a vision of bold economic freedom, slashing wasteful government spending, limiting harmful regulation so that we can create private sector jobs and get our economy going — cap and trade and health care all fit into that scenario,” Miller-Meeks told The Iowa Independent moments after the GOP primary had been called in her favor.
The campaign, she said earlier in the evening, was able to build on a team that was in place following the 2008 election cycle, and has repeated a message that has resonated with voters.
