Clair Rudison Jr., who is challenging incumbent state Rep. Ak0 Abdul-Samad in the Iowa House District 66 Democratic primary, released two attack mailers late last week focusing on his opposition to same-sex marriage.
The primary, which has become ground zero in the battle over marriage rights for same-sex couples, has up until now been mostly focused on other issues like education and the economy. But Rudison, who describes himself as pro-family, pro-life and pro-marriage, has received financial support from the Iowa Family Policy Center, a vehemently anti-gay organization. That support has caused One Iowa, the state’s larges LGBT-rights group, to become highly active in the district.
The mailers appear after the jump.

And a second mailer arrive late Friday.
