Protesters Await War Criminal Rove's Return To Iowa

GOP delights in honoring war criminal Rove at a luncheon, fundraising event. The Wakonda Country Club has decided it will support the event, and does not believe it should discriminate against war criminals. Makes one wonder what their membership requirements are. Jason's next article should highlight the backgrounds of the club's membership. Might be real interesting.

It is difficult to understand why the Iowa Republican party would invite Karl Rove. I should think they would run as far and as fast away from him, Bush and Cheney, as they could. How can they champion their candidate, John McCain, while still holding on to the architects of the disasterous Bush administration?

Mr. Rove, Mr. Cheney, and Mr. Rumsfeld have all demonstrated unabashed shamelessness, and Mr. Bush seemingly total lack of awareness, in regard to the tragic and despicable direction that they have taken our country. That the Iowa Republican Party would champion any of these men as model leaders and invite them to be keynote speakers shows just how dangerous that Party is to the welfare and the future of our nation. If Americans are swayed to vote for McCain and a Republican Congress, they will deserve the consequences of such irresponsible action. Unfortunately and alas, they would also bring the rest of us down with them.

It says a lot about the Iowa Republican Party that this is who they would invite for a keynote, and that they expect to have plenty of donors willing to pay that much money to hear Rove speak. If any one person since Nixon has been more damaging to the political process in the United States, I don't know who that would be.
