The long saga of the 2007 Farm Bill is about to come to an end.
Congressional agriculture leaders announced Wednesday that a final deal has been hammered out and the finished conference report of the 2007 Farm Bill would be unveiled Thursday.
A press conference will be held Thursday afternoon in Washington, D.C., where Senate Agriculture Committee chairman Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, and House Agriculture Committee chairman Collin Peterson, D-Minn., will explain the details of the bill.
The Farm Bill will next go to the full U.S. House of Representatives, as early as next week, for a final vote of passage.
