King tracks in his own manure This is by far one of the best pieces I've read on the maniacal Steve King thus far. And, yes, I believe there's a reason this mad-as-a-hatter college-dropout chose to sit in Saddam Hussein's former palace throne; KING (in his infinite high school wisdom) equates one's name with any synonym he can find in his trusty thesaurus.

Steve King, simply put, is infatuated with the media. He's already a legend in his own mind. And, like the slow, trouble-making unschooled boy he is, he knows he can't reason with intelligence because it requires...well...intelligence. So, he employs the same tactics dogs use when they feel...by golly...they're not getting enough attention. After all, as all dogs know, any attention -- even for bad behavior -- is better than nothing at all.

As a 5th District constituent and activist, I am both embarrassed and humiliated at the public disgrace this man has wrought upon our state and, yes, even our nation. Because of Steve King and his insatiable thirst for recognition, the world now sees Iowa as some hillbilly state with voters going to polls in overalls, tracking in manure and voting with one hand while picking straw from their teeth with the other.

As for King seeking the gubernatorial mansion, I say he should go for it! I'm certain his new employer would find him qualified enough to cut its lawn. And, with a good riding mower, he probably could even learn to spit his tobacco on the round trips where the wind didn't slap his chew back into his face.

Feeling used? So it's all scripted for maximum impact, is it? All he needs are some willing publicity agents.

Does he really think this is open dialogue? Do you?

I think it's self-serving hot air, not worthy of free publicity in many cases.
