Democrats Gain from Registration, Party Changes at Caucus

As of today, nearly 7,000 Iowans who registered to vote on caucus night have been added to the statewide voter registration system. In addition, more than 52,500 Iowans have changed parties — with the Iowa Democratic Party being the largest beneficiary.

According to Secretary of State Michael Mauro, of the approximately 52,500 records that have been processed, more than 43,000 were Iowans changing their party affiliation to the Democratic Party. Republicans have received about 9,500 changes.

    Huh? Irresponsible release by sect of state. why did they release this before they were done? Are they prosecuting the faulty registrations?

    Why would to GOP respond to partisan blather? They are not done couting and our top election official shoots his wad early. doesn’t iowa law say you have 24 hours to get your registration in and it has been 2 plus weeks and auditors are only 60% done?
