Grassley launches campaign Web site

By admin | 07.17.09 | 3:33 pm

A while back, I chided Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) for not having a campaign Web site, despite his widely publicized Twittering. Iowa’s senior senator must have been reading, for his campaign has since made a quiet online debut.

The Grassley campaign’s new site, located at GrassleyForSenate.com, doesn’t yet have a blog or many issue positions on it, but at least it’s there, ready to generate an email list and accept online contributions. And it features a header logo with a photo that is either several years old, or it has been airbrushed or filtered heavily.

The fonts and colors are arguably Obama-esque, but not to the same level as some other Republican 2010 candidates across the country, like this one.

You can check out the home page here.

And, if you want a preview of what Grassley’s campaign messages are going to be, look for the extra large headings toward the second half of this page, which sound like they have already been message-tested.
