“I am committed to ensuring transparency and accountability, and making sure that Iowans’ tax dollars are being protected,” Loebsack, a Democrat, said. “This new U.S. Government Accountability Office report demonstrates Iowa’s commitment to implementing the Recovery Act quickly and efficiently.”
The recently released GAO report documents how the 16 states being monitored are implementing and documenting stimulus monies. Iowa is praised for its tracking of the funds.
