Edwards reminded his audience that “We had a Democratic president, a Democratic Senate, and a Democratic House in the early 1990′s and the insurance companies, the drug companies and their lobbyists killed universal health care.” He further noted that instead of health care legislation and reform, Congress passed a trade agreement, NAFTA, which was, “exactly what the big corporate interests and lobbyists in Washington wanted.”In the booklet, “The Plan to Build One America: Bold Solutions for Real Change” Edwards has policy details for Iran, Iraq, Darfur and Uganda.
