Sal Mohamed, the man most often remembered as the fourth candidate in what was usually described as a three-way Democratic primary for governor in 2006, has decided to run for U.S. Senate. Mohamed has also run for congress and, despite his constitutional ineligibility as an Egyptian by birth, for President of the United States.
Mohamed will likely face former state legislator and veterans activist Bob Krause in the Democratic primary. The winner of that race will face steep odds against Iowa’s senior senator, Republican Chuck Grassley, in November 2010.
