The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Violence Against Women has announced $583,045 in grants to two Iowa organizations.
Crisis Intervention Services in Oskaloosa was awarded a $500,000 Rural Domestic, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking and Child Victimization Assistance Grant. The funds will be used to increase awareness and prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault and dating violence.
The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence was awarded an $83,045 grant from the Grants to State Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coalitions Program. These funds will help the coalition continue its work to end violence against women through collaboration with federal, state and local organizations.
