Polk County Officials Any idea on who our polkco officals have endorsed? I think I heard Haggerty, Mauro and Connolly are with Hillary, Anderson with Edwards, Hockensmith with Obama. Maybe these are wrong. What about the others? Anyone know who Sarcone and Fitzgerald are with?

look at the big picture here I have not been keeping close track of the number of state legislators who have endorsed all the candidates, but I think that Clinton has about 14 or 15, Obama has a half-dozen or so, Edwards and Biden each have around seven, and Dodd has at least one that I know of. I am not sure about Richardson.

Think about how much pressure Democrats in the Iowa legislature must be feeling to endorse Clinton. How many favors have the Vilsacks and Clintons done for these Democrats?

The easy thing would be to go along and endorse Hillary.

But look at how many have resisted that pressure.

It speaks to how many professional politicians do not want Hillary at the top of the ticket and do not think that would be good for the Iowa Democratic Party.

McCarthy This is the same Kevin McCarthy who ran former Democrat and now independant Joe Loserman's campaign. Dems were up in arms about Fallon supporting Nader, now this guy. Whats next?

What about Murphy? Technically, Biden has won the support from Democratic Leadership in the House, but I think Murphy should be considered Democratic House Leadership.
